A friend of mine told me I should wait for the rates to drop before I buy. What do you girls think?

We get that question all the time. There are a couple big problems with that theory. Problem # 1 is that nobody knows if the rates will ever go back down to the historic lows that we saw just a few years back. Problem #2 is supply and demand. This means if the rates suddenly dropped in the 2% area, there would be a flood of buyers making offers. This increase in demand does 2 things. It will drive prices up and it will mean buyers will be competing with dozens of other offers.Now anybody that purchased a home today will be able to refinance their home to that low rate while benefiting from price increase due to supply and demand.

I can't afford to pay a mortgage.

The truth is, you are already paying a mortgage......just somebody else's mortgage. We would encourage you to reach out to us today and let us set you up with a lending professional to assess your current situation and share with you what a mortgage payment would look like. And, if you're not ready yet at least they can place you on a plan for future success.

What is the 1st step in buying a home?

The absolute first step is to get approved for a mortgage. Without being approved for a mortgage it will be quite difficult, if not impossible, to purchase your new home. Contact us and we can help you with this process.

If Zillow says my house is worth $800,000, does that mean it is.

Not exactly. Zillow acquires data from tax assessor and county records, real estate brokerages, and multiple listing services (MLS). It also incorporates user-submitted data. With that being said, it's an estimate looking without physically inspecting the property or factoring in functional or external obsolescence.
